People, I've got some free time. If anyone wants character designs or something for their projects, for those who are familiar with the shit I do, feel free to buzz. My style changed a bit, there's been what, 5 years since I did anything here lol.

I dropped the SMT fangame coz I only have enough time to make one game. I
want to move on to a fully funded project in 3d if I ever do another
game. Fuck doing shit for free. Free gives you no incentive to actually
finish a game. Fuck sprites too. I can see why spriting died out.
Spriting sucks.I hope to have some videos & a demo up the next
time I post at this thread. (Once GTA V is out, fuck this shit. I'm

Well spriting is something developers didnt actually do, they most likely digitalized drawings and things on paper, or in the case of Killer instinct, make sprites out of 3D models. With 3D modeling, once you make the model itself animating is a piece of cake, its not even something you have to do frame by frame.
However you'll need some piece of gameplay to attract people to get it. For example to put your game on steam (retail or free) you have to cash in 100$ (i dont know how the thing works fordownloadable games on console but if someone know im all ears). You either put those 100 bucks yourself or start a campaing to make publicity with an added request for donations

Damn it, why not go crowdfunding (kickstarter, etc) for, well, the funding? You can then pitch it and release it through steam and gog.com. I'm down for that.
I agree, we have enough raw talent on this board alone to pull it off. Xed, Jedi, TopD, etc the list goes on, or ends there lol, but it's more than enough. Add commitment, mindless determination and hard work and we're set. How about music?

What we need is enough exposure.
Mystery Man X:So what brings you here at this time of day?????:I couldn't resist the chance of meeting the man who's been shadowing me for over a month.Mystery Man X :(Looks back at her with a cautious but stern look on his face.)????:Oh come on. Don't give me that look. I know that you've been stalking me. You follow me as if you were my much more masculine & less attractive reflection.Or maybe you're just another horny dog who is patiently wagging his tail for a treat and a happy ending. What are you shy? Or are you just a creep? Men, they're all the same.(Long uncomfortable silence.)Mystery Man X :I find you interesting. I hope that isn't a problem.????:Interesting? I suppose that I should be flattered. What an odd way to hit on a lady.So mystery man, what exactly is it that you find so deeply intriguing about little ol' moi?Mystery Man X :Well don't take this the wrong way. This isn't love or lust.My infatuation with you is of pure curiosity.I've observed you from afar, and I couldn't help but notice. However peculiar it may be, You have discarded several boxes of chocolates for the past fewweeks yet your figure is still slim & might I add, modelesque. If you don't mind? I wish to inquire. What exactly is your secret to staying so vibrantly young, & so ravishingly beautiful Ms. Rhee Antoinette?Rhee Antoinette:Hmm, so you know my identity, but you're still puzzled?Mystery Man X :I'm only aware of what they call you.Rhee Antoinette:Then I guess that you don't knownearly as much as you imply Mr. -Well you know my name. It's only fair if I know yours. So tell me, who are you?Rhee Antoinette:Hmpph, okay if that is your real name.Mystery Man X :As far as I'm concerned. The perception of oneself is rarely if ever reliable & is about as accurately defined as your faux leather coat.Any name is valid so long as the addressed correspondent & the sender are in agreement with one another.Rhee Antoinette:Ouch, that's not so nice Mr Lover boy. So are you implying that I'm a fake?

Sure I could do that, if I wanted to make an Angel Heights 2 I guess.I'm
not using kickstarter for my game pitch though. I'm using mainstream
avenues for that. I'm not interested in making indie shit at all but I
will if that's the only way to get us all do a project together at least

A pitch that I want to produce (well I don't have to be the producer I just want it green lighted.) one day is a deathmatch arena style game that plays out like the first Battle Royale movie. Considering how gaming these days is going artfag like insane these days I figure that I could actually get the concept green lighted if I tried to pitch it as something similar to "Last of Us" which is a fucking shitty ass game that everyone loves because it makes them sad & depressed.
if you want to get into some Konami or Capcom as a director for the game project then the only way is to have some contacts that can help you get inside.

I have a feeling you'll actually finish this one, I look forward playing it.
It's funny that you called me Vinnie DeRosa in your game since DeRosa is actually my fiance's family name, and vinnie is a contraption of vincenzo, which was my grandfather's name, LOL. (Also one of the main characters in two of my novels is called Vincent.)

lack of programmers

Cry of Fear is just rip-off of Silent Hill with addition of Condemned
and some other games. SURE, i enjoyed CoF and i really like it's music,
but IT'S NOT really 10/10 mod and game.
You talk to me as if I'm coming at this from some indie film angle.Who the fuck do you think I am? Some random dork in a basement? I have business titles, I apprentice under this guy. What do businessmen do? Nothing but manage money & constant networking.
Today it's not enough just to create game. It's Web 2.0 or what else,
there are thousands of "Hey, i created a Game, would ya check it?
Well, people create games on Unity or UDK without real programming (well, scripting can be learned through copy paste)
Nowodays it's sometimes 3D Modellers who make the games, with help of programmers.
While i can make some levels in Quake 3/Doom 3/Half-life 2 environment
editor, maybe some city streets or smth, i can't make anything without
characters, weapons, items and enemies.
And without programming, i can only use basic function, so NO ADD to GamePlay.
And it's the problem of most games made bu HOBBYist - they change content, but not the possibilities..

Modelling is more important now compared to before as not only its needed to create the characters but also the environments (probably not in all games tough)
