Yeah I played through Turok 3 when it came out but never got it. I was going to but some dude bought it from the video store before I got to it. Just like Body Harvest.

I think that death animations shouldn't be either animations or ragdoll physics but instead should be a possible mixture of the two. Back in the day with less realistic graphics it wasn't such a big deal to have characters who act weird when they die, because cconsoles weren't powerful then. NOW of course since graphics look so much better they think that bodies should move realistically when they die, so they make dead people lifeless dolls.

While these physics would be very realistic in some situations, sometimes they look weird, or they'll fall on some strange architechture and end up shaking like crazy since the AI doesn't know how to make the body lie still correctly on this thing, or (like I saw in Perfect Dark Zero one time) the person will die, fall over and the body will roll around. In Perfect Dark Zero though eventually the dead body strted flying around the entire level! It was flying in this little closed off jungle area, but then it flew towards a bridge and flew straight down the length of the canyon. It was HILARIOUS. I was dying it looked so funny. Oddly enough, it hasn't EVER EVER happened again.

ANYWAYS! TUROK! Yeah I need to play through these games again. How was the Turok game on last gen systems? (GC, XB, and PS2) I heard it was stupid and EGM made one of the bosses their annual "razzie" style award host from then on. Was the game that bad?
