I think that since the movies were intended to be bad, and the movies were intended to replicate the look and feel of other bad movies, then saying that they were bad is really more of a compliment on a successful project. And if Tarantino had'nt directed death proof no one would be pretending to like it. In fact if tarantino hadn't directed death proof it might have been pretty good, seeing as how my biggest complaint was tarantino's trademark: ENDLESS INANE BANTER. Which works well in movies like Reservoir dogs, and Pulp fiction, because the characters are badass, and we like to hear them being funny. I guess when tarantino wrote Death proof he was think "Geez, maybe people want to see a movie about a bunch of retarded self possessed bitches (the kind that can be found in the halls of any high school, or college) who spend 90% of their screen time talking about the dumbest shit imaginable in annoying high pitched voices." And then George Lucas said "Quinten man, you've finally arrived."
