It's obvious that you have no idea... sorry. The very name "Grindhouse is evocative of the sleazy rundown theatres where any trashy exploitation film could play. And just as those movies were filled with plotholes, (that is if they had a plot) so is grindhouse. And let me also point out the intention behind that, since you think its so ridiculous.

Plan 9 from outer space is generally considered the worst movie ever made, and if you see it, you'll know exactly why. But Plan 9 is so famous for being bad, because its so bad that you will end up loving the movie, just like grindhouse. Hilariously bad dialouge, and gaping plot holes, continuity errors, and bad acting were all present in Planet Terror but not all were present in death proof, which leads me to believe that Tarantino can't control himself concerning his characters dialouge.

But the point is, the movies were meant to be so bad that they are good. And obviously its just a matter of opinion, but as far as I am concerned they succeed in being so bad that they are just Ok.

and in reference to Bobs comment about how long the talking scenes were in Death proof: The first scene were the group of girls sit around and talk at the bar, is over 10 mins long, thats tarantinos signature long shot, which just proves that the movie would have been better if tarantino would have focused more on the homage to 70's drive in, and less on the homage to himself.
