Wow, you guys must be desensitized.

I found it to be particularly violent. I mean I was fine with that, I've seen and played many a violent video games and movies.

I mean the first mission held nothing back. Now I understand the graphics and style can result in the game being viewed differently, but I feel as a player I become engrossed in that world for the time I am playing. So it was realistic to me. But going back to the first mission, I mean everyone of the gang members had damn violent deaths. They were also pretty cruel in some ways. The one chick by the elevator got all her lower half blown off, and she still cried out for help before finally dying. The other woman had her back half seered off while still trying to find help, and ultimately dying at your feet.

And of course there are other examples. Julia blowing her own skull apart, De Paul eating a bullet, Ulmeyda drenching a car (and other things)in his own blood after violently exploding, Two Japanese politicians getting their heads smeared in their own ways, and continuing to taunt others, Curtis violently dispatching Pedro with multiple shots to the head after tossing Pedro's daughter's severed head at his feet, Keane killing himself, Curtis murdering everyone in his sight with clean shots to the head, and of course the oragn dealings, finally lest we not forget about the death's of each member of the Smith syndicate and Garcian blowing his own head off. Oh yeah, one more significant death: Y. Harman shooting the shite outta both Harman and Kun.

Final note: Capcom makes the worlds most violent games. I easily forget GTA or any stupid knock off when compared to the brutality shown in the Resident Evil series, Devil May Cry series, and as Topdrunkee pointed out, Shadow of Rome.

Brave or Grave

"Yo, how's it goin' with next week's story, huh?"
