What seemed to be a Doom wannabe turned out into a really influental videogame which is not acknowledge by anyone (kinda like Forrest Gump taking part in importan event in history)
Not everyday you get a game with a comic book story (fantasy-like), a solid and addictive gameplay and the most memorable weapons in FPS history besides the BFG (Fusion cannon, Chronosceptor and Cerebral bore are a few)
Once Turok 2 came, it turnied into a style of its own: a weird action FPS with maze like exploration and imaginative gore we dont see anymore (its not about how many guts you can draw from a corpse, but how you do it)
TUROK has rocking music trough all the game; TUROK1 gave us eerie temple music, while Turok2 had strong and violent tunes to keep us entertained during those extremely long levels.
TROK3 was the weakest one on the N64, however it still keep up with the previous titles.
Do I need to mention the guys behind TUROK1&2 worked hard? just looks at the games, the animations are extremelly well done, graphic are astonishing, etc.
Turok:Rage Wars was a blast that sadly got overshadowe by perfect dark.
However Tuok Evolution was a failure in every way: the graphics are almost lower than in Turok1 (however the levels were good looking), the weapons are boring in design, not as destructive and bad texturing.
Best thing I could bring from that tile is the multyplayer, most singleplayer Turok game have bad multyplayer, but this one is one of the best.
But before Acclaim could have a second chance, they went bankrupt and things just got worse

"What the FUCK??!! This motherfucking low scum doesnt have nearly half the balls I have, should better stick that knife trough his arse"
Even DeNiro agress with me, how could somebody turned an original game into another Blockbuster retail games about a stupid marine with big jaw that has NOTHING TO DO WITH TUROK.
WHATS THE POINT INTO USING THE NAME TUROK IF IT HAS
NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGNAL GAME AT ALL,
AT ALL
Seriously, even the emphasizing on knife kills already was on Turok1 (altough less but more important)
